Loose Botanical Drawing in the Greenhouse

A half-day of loose botanical drawing on the Plot Twist plot, with a small lunch from the garden in the middle. No prior experience needed. Everyone spends the afternoon among the plants, tries a table full of materials, eats something the plot has grown, and leaves with a stack of sheets that hold the light and mood of the day rather than a correct picture of a leaf.

The premise is simple enough to say to a nervous first-timer: you are not here to copy the plant, you are here to keep it company and let your hand answer. Accuracy is off the table from the first minute, which is exactly what makes it easy to start.

~ Who it's for:

Beginners who have wanted to draw outside and never had permission to be bad at it, alongside anyone who already draws and wants to loosen up. Mixed groups work well because the loose approach flattens the gap between them fast.

Group size is 8 to 12 for one facilitator. The afternoon runs about three and a half hours including lunch.

~ What you take home:

A new way of looking, a set of sheets full of experiments, and one longer drawing.

~ Price:

35 euro per person, with materials and the plot lunch included. Three lower-rate places at 25 euro are held each session so cost is never the reason someone stays home and not drawing. Booking is capped at 12.

Vrij tekenen in de kas
“Aandacht geven aan de planten met de lijn die luistert”

Een halve dag vrij botanisch tekenen op het perceel van Plot Twist, met halverwege een kleine lunch uit de tuin. Ervaring is niet nodig. Je brengt de middag door tussen de planten, probeert een tafel vol materialen, eet iets dat in de tuin is gegroeid, en gaat naar huis met een stapel bladen die het licht en de sfeer van die dag vasthouden, geen correcte afbeelding van een blad.

~ Voor wie:

Beginners die altijd al buiten wilden tekenen en nooit de ruimte kregen om er slecht in te zijn, en iedereen die al tekent en losser wil worden. Gemengde groepen werken juist goed, want de vrije aanpak maakt het verschil tussen die twee snel klein.

De groep is 8 tot 12 mensen. De middag duurt ongeveer drie en half uur, lunch inbegrepen.

~ Wat je naar huis meeneemt:

Een nieuwe manier van kijken, papier blaadjes vol experimenten, en een langere tekening.

~ Prijs:

35 euro per persoon, inclusief materialen en de lunch uit de tuin. Per keer zijn er drie plekken tegen een gereduceerd tarief van 25 euro, zodat geld nooit de reden is om thuis te blijven en niet te tekenen. Maximaal twaalf plekken.
