ABOUT

I came to art through a search for orientation.

Growing up between cultures, landscapes, and languages, I learned early that belonging is not always given and sometimes must be practiced. Movement shaped my perception of place and over time I became attentive to the subtle ways environments speak through texture, rhythm, silence, and trace. This attentiveness became the foundation of my work and the ground from which my artistic language continues to grow.

I am an artist working through drawing, writing, and situated artistic research. I hold an MA in Interrelational Artistic Practices from Hanze University of Applied Sciences. My approach is shaped by an East meets West sensibility where multiple knowledge systems, lived experiences, and ways of sensing coexist rather than compete. This intersection forms the philosophical core of my practice.

Rather than treating art as a means of producing objects, I approach it as a method for building relationships with land, memory, human presence, and more-than-human connections. My works often emerge slowly through observation, listening, and encounters that unfold across time. In this process drawing becomes a form of sensing and text becomes a space where experience gathers and resonates.

My practice moves between studio and field. I develop works within specific environments such as wetlands, urban edges, and shared landscapes where I explore how attention can reshape our relationship to place. Participation, when present, is a form of shared awareness. The work exists within the relation itself as much as in any visible outcome.

Publishing is another extension of this practice. Artist books, visual narratives, essays, poems, and small printed works function as portable sites of encounter. On a page image and language meet, pause, and listen to one another. These publications are not documentation but parallel spaces where research continues in another form.
